MIGRATING TO CANADA
To migrate to Canada and indeed most of the countries of the world, there is a need for a foreigner to obtain Visa before such a person can be allowed access into the country.
According to Wikipedia, a visa is a conditional authorization granted by a polity to a foreigner that allows them to enter, remain within or leave its territory. Regions, government issues authorization to a foreigner allowing such a person to enter their space, this authorization is usually defined within a period of time either short time or long time. There are some general documents required for processing of Visa, they include but not limited to:

There are different kinds of Visa issued by Canadian Government, below are a few of them;
1. TOURIST VISA
The tourist Visa is necessary for travelers who desire to visit Canada for a short period of time either for tourism or business purposes. The Tourist Visa also known as Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is usually valid for a period of six months and can be extended if other conditions are met.
2. Study Visa
This visa is meant for people who want to study in Canada. The visa will last for the duration of the studies. Such students are expected to return to their country of residency upon completion of their studies, however one can request for an extension if necessary to do so. A student seeking Visa must have been admitted into a Canadian school as the admission letter is part of the documents required to process the visa.
3. Work Visa
If you wish to take up a job in Canada, a work visa will be required. This type of visa is valid for the duration of your work contract and can be extended if necessary. To qualify for this visa type, you must be able to present to the consular a job offer document from a recognized Canadian employer.
4. Permanent Residence Visa
A permanent residence visa is required for individuals who want to live in Canada permanently. This type of visa is valid for life and does not need to be renewed.
5. Temporary Residence Visa
A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) enables you to visit Canada for a short period of time and the visit must be properly defined either it’s for tourism purposes, family or business travel.
6. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a process where the provinces and territories in Canada are allowed to propose persons who fulfill particular economic or job requirements to come to the country. Under this program, there is no maximum period of stay; however, candidates must have an employment offer from a Canadian company or must have been nominated by a province.
GENERAL STEPS TO APPLY FOR ANY OF THE CANADIAN VISA
The below are the steps to apply for a Canadian Visa.
1. Gather the required information.
The first step to apply for any of the Canadian visa is to gather the necessary information. Information is life and it is key to a successful visa processing.
2. Put together necessary Documents.
Canadian consulate will need to establish and confirm your story and application. You will be required to source, gather and present certain documents to the embassy. These documents includes; International Passport, Proof of Fund, Letter of invitation from a friend or family member in Canada, Letter of Admission, Offer of Employment, etc
3. Fill out the application form.
Once you have gathered all of the required documents, you will need to fill out the application form. This can be done online or by visiting a Canadian consulate or embassy. You are advised to ensure this form is well and correctly filled.
4. Pay the Prescribed Fee.
The government has an approved application fee which must be paid before a visa application can be treated. This application fee can be paid either online or by mail.
4. Submit your application.
As soon as your fee has been paid, you can proceed to submit your application either online or by mail. The method of submission sometimes varies according to the country where the application is made.
5. Wait for a decision on your application.
After you have submitted your application, you will need to wait for a decision to be made on your application. The decision can take weeks or months as all the necessary documents will be looked at, verified, assessed and necessary decision then taken. If your application is approved, you will be issued a visa that allows you to enter Canada.
